The Historical Evidence of Paleocontact. Dr. Matest M. Agrest

The Historical Evidence of paleocontacts

During one summer night in 1959, Dr Matest M Agrest worked out his own hypothesis about a visit of extra terrestrial to earth many years ago. Remember the first chapters of Genesis in the Bible wherein it is stated that the "Nphylym (nefilim) were in the world in those days" (Genesis 6:4) and his father's translation of the word "Nphylym" as "the fallen ones," he compared this with modern translation of the Bible which interpret the word "Nphylym" as "giants". Thus, "Giants were in the world in those days".  Further, he found the passage in one of the most ancient translations of the Bible into Aramaic language  - "Torgum Andelessa" - where it says: "Nphylym, fallen on the Earth, where on the Earth in those days". He also remembered the well-known legend about the ascension of Enoch and in Genesis 5:25 it states  that " And there was no more Enoch, for the lord had taken him away." Genesis 19:23-30 describes the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and it struck Dr. Agrest that the laconic description of the event was very similar to the picture of nuclear explosion. Without any sleep that night, Dr. Agrest read all the chapters of Genesis and the corresponding pages of the Zohar, concluding that the ancient texts described space flights in antiquity. But that was in 1959 when it was hardly to even mention the word "Bible" among Soviet scientists. Later, he would be charged with belting Soviet science for asserting that it was Enoch, and not Yuri Gagarin, who was the first to fly into outer space! A contemporary of Dr. Iosif Shklovsky, the world-renowed astrophysicist, Dr. Agrest has visited Shhklovsky in Moscow in Autumn of 1960 and expressed his ideas to Shklovsky , who immidiately denounced them as "rubbish" and called Agrest a lunatic. However, a few days later, Shklovsky called Agrest and suggested that he publish his theories. Dr. Shklovsky is the author of Universe, Life, Intelligence, published in Moscow in 1963. The book was translated into English and then it was expanded his by Carl Sagan, the American astronomer, and published as intelligent life in the Universe, with Sagan listed as co-author.
Born in Mogiliev, Byelorussia 1915, Dr. Agrest graduated from the university of Leningrad in1938 and received his PhD in Science, Physics and Mathematics in 1946. He became the Chief of the University library in 1970. He retired in 1992 and emigrated to the United States where he now lives wife, Riva. Dr. Agrest of more than 100 scientific articles and 5 monographs on the subjects of mathematics, physics and astronomy. Some of the articles are devoted to the question of paleocontacts - contacts of extra-terrestrial beings with Earth. His article "Cosmonauty  Drevnosty" (Astronauts of Yore) Published in Moscow in 1961, has been translated into many languages. Dr. Agrest was the first scientist to advance the theory that Earth had been visited in pre-historic times by intelligent beings from outer space. In 1959, Dr. Agrest startled his colleagues in the Soviet Union with his conclusion that the gigantic terrace in Baalbek in Lebanon had been used by extra-terrestrials as a launch site for space vehicles and that the destruction of the Biblical Sodom and Gomorrah (twin cities of Ancient Palestine in the plain of Jordan) was caused by a nuclear blast. Dr. Agrest has been described as the doyen of the ancient astronaut theory
